New carpets are always a thing of beauty. However after a while they begin to look dirty and tired. You can have them ‘cleaned’ but they just don’t seem to bounce back, do they? In fact, poor quality cleaning is a good way to waste money and destroy a perfectly good carpet. And sadly, in South Africa, we have no regulatory body to control the standard or methods of carpet cleaning.
* While we generate 30x more cleaning power than our competitors, and our results are by far better, we don't charge 30x more than other suppliers. HOWEVER, if you want a far superior carpet clean and want to pay the same you will pay the guy down the road, then we are not the company for you. Also maybe note, that because our truck is truly a monster, some jobs may be too small and not viable for us to take on. We do however treat each request on its own merits.
That's Not Steam Cleaning!
When other companies advertise ‘Steam Cleaning’ they are actually misleading you: you see, where's the steam?
They spray a mixture of cheap detergent and warm water onto the surface of your carpet and then they vacuum it up again. Or they use "dry steam", what the heck? That's it! You wouldn't dip your clothes in soapy water and hang them on the line to dry, so why let someone do that to your carpets? Worse still, they're going to tell you your carpets are clean. And then they're going to charge you for it. What's worse, is that you will pay what they ask. What a waste of money!
The Truth Is Your Carpet Is Still Filthy!
With most other carpet cleaners, some of the dirt will come out and they'll be happy to show you the dirty water in the waste tank. Looks impressive, doesn't it? However the truth is that most of the dirt actually just sank deeper into the carpet; so did an awful lot of dirty water. So your carpet is not only still filthy, but is now also soaking wet. And here comes the worst part: ever notice those patches that appear after a few days? That's called 'browning' and it means your carpet was full of water when your 'cleaners' left. Also, isn't it funny how stains seem to re-appear? That's called 'wicking': the problem is the stain is still in the fibres of the carpet and as the surface dries, the water and the stain are drawn to the surface - much like the wick in a lamp.
Sticky Chemical Residues
Ever felt the surface of a carpet a few days after it’s been cleaned? It feels hard and sticky, doesn't it? That’s detergent residue. It's there because your 'cleaners' didn't rinse the carpet properly because they simply couldn't, they don't have the power to do it. So they leave you with a great glue to catch fresh dirt, so in no time your carpet is going to look even dirtier than it did before!
Your Carpet Is Alive!
Dust mites, mould, pollen, dead skin, bacteria … it’s all there. That's not good, especially for people with allergies and asthma. But before you declare it a health hazard, a clean carpet is actually a good friend. Airborne dust and other material that settle on the surface become trapped in the carpet fibres. If it didn't it would probably end up in your lungs. So carpets need the occasional deep clean and that deep clean needs to be done with a lot of heat because heat is what kills anything living in your carpet.
Professional Quality Cleaning
We are the first and only company in South Africa to use real steam at very high temperatures and pressures to clean and restore carpets. This method is so effective it has become the industry standard in both Europe and America. It's fully IICRC certified and now it’s available, right here in South Africa. Note, we don't compete in the residential market as the job specs are often too small.
30x The Power With Real Steam!
To properly clean a carpet requires a lot of power; far more than anything our competitors can get from a standard 2V plug socket. So our machines are permanently mounted in the back of our vans and power themselves. Our pumps have their own engines and our heaters run on diesel fuel. Together they generate 30x more power than anything our competitors use!
First we spray your carpet with special detergent to break down stains and stubborn dirt. Then we scrub it and let it stand for 20 minutes while the enzymes get to work. If it's really bad we'll spot treat certain areas to remove even the worst stains. And then comes the cleaning.
Our steam generators create steam at of 260ºC. That’s hot! Hot enough to dislodge even the most stubborn dirt and kill anything it comes into contact with.
Then it's pumped at 200 Psi (bars of pressure) through special hoses to the work area. That’s around 100x times the pressure in your car tyres! It’s so strong it actually penetrates deep into the carpet forcing the dirt all the way to the surface.
Dirt Doesn't Stand A Chance!
We use the Hoss H700 rotary cleaning head. It's the finest and fastest cleaning head in the business. It scrubs the carpet pile 1 500 times a minute and as it does so it flexes and stretches the carpet fibres pulling them back into an upright position, so carpets come up looking fluffy and new.
No Nasty Chemical Residues
As the machine cleans, it completely flushes out any cleaning agents we have used, so there's no nasty and sticky residues. Also, injected into the steam is a special fibre rinse that softens the carpet fibres; this keeps the carpet soft and easy to keep clean for a long time.
Dry In Just 90 - 120 Minutes*
Finally the machine sucks every last drop of residue away with an enormous vacuum pump. Your carpet is touch-dry straight after the machine has finished and almost completely dry in about 90 - 120 minutes or so. That means no wicking, browning or recurring stains. Not bad, even if we say so ourselves. * Drying times are always dependent on carpet thickness and atmospheric conditions, however you can bring your furniture back in in no more than two hours.
Amazing Results!
And what are you left with? A result that speaks for itself!
A beautiful carpet that has been restored to its original condition. It's smooth, soft to the touch, and completely clean. It is also free from detergent and chemical residues, which means the best part is it will stay that way for a long time.
It’s the closest thing we can give you to a brand new carpet at only a fraction of the cost!
The Best Way To Get A Quote from Us
All surfaces are different and we can therefore not give you an "average per sqm price" over the phone. We prefer to get all the information about a problem so that we can forward an accurate quotation. In order to do this, we need: 1. The area size in sqm (please, we don't quote "per room" ... just do the best you can with area size). 2. A detailed description of the problem. So please "tell us the full story" of your floor and its problem and try and be as thorough as possible. The more we know, the better we can quote. For example, telling us that your floor is "very dirty" doesn't help us; rather tell us whether there is old sealant on the floor, oil, what stains, wax, polish, soil ... whatever it may be, just tell us about it. 3. The physical address of the work site. If not the full address, then at least the suburb please. 4. Pictures of the problem. If emailing pics is a problem, send the pics via Whatsapp or Signal on 076 030 8191 (... remember to send the other info via email as it helps us keep track of our customers' specs and needs). Also, please, the pictures need to include a wide shot or two so we can get a sense of the area, then close-ups of tiles and its problems: pretend we are there, sitting on our haunches, having a look at the floor.
So, a good variety of pics is always good.
And in absolutely no time, we will send a tailor-made quote, just for you. If the job is too complicated or you don't feel like sending pics and measuring up, we will come out.
